I'm 62 and started Pilates on my doctor's recommendation after a shoulder surgery. Lauren was so thoughtful about working around my limitations while still pushing me to improve. Eight months later my surgeon couldn't believe my range of motion. Can't recommend her enough.

Lauren Reeves(she/her)
Hi, I'm Lauren
I fell in love with Pilates during my college years at Boston University, where I was dealing with chronic back pain from years of competitive swimming. What started as rehabilitation quickly became my passion — and then my career.
After graduating with a degree in Kinesiology, I completed my comprehensive BASI Pilates training and became a PMA-Certified Pilates Teacher. I've since added STOTT Pilates Rehabilitation and pre/postnatal certifications to my toolkit.
I teach at two studios in Boston — Btone Fitness in Back Bay and Boston Body Pilates on the Waterfront — and also offer private online sessions for clients who prefer to train from home. My approach blends classical Pilates principles with contemporary movement science. Whether you're recovering from an injury, preparing for a marathon, or just want to feel stronger and more connected to your body, I'll meet you where you are.
When I'm not teaching, you'll find me running along the Charles River, experimenting with new recipes, or hanging out with my golden retriever, Biscuit.

What my clients say
Lauren is easily one of the best instructors at Boston Body Pilates. Her mat classes are creative and she always introduces variations I've never seen before. Took a star off only because I wish private sessions were a bit more affordable, but you get what you pay for.
My wife and I do the duet reformer sessions and it's become our favorite thing to do together. Lauren manages to challenge both of us at the same time even though we're at different levels. Great energy, never feels like she's watching the clock.
The online sessions are just as good as in-person. I was worried it wouldn't translate over Zoom but Lauren sets up her camera perfectly and gives really clear cues. I do the 50-min private sessions from my living room with just a mat and a resistance band. Honestly a game-changer for my schedule.
Good instructor, solid classes at Btone. She knows her stuff and the group classes are well-paced. Only reason for 4 stars is the class times don't always work with my schedule — wish there were more evening slots. The workouts themselves are tough in the best way.
I started with Lauren during my second trimester and she was incredible throughout my pregnancy and postpartum recovery. She always made sure I felt safe and modified exercises as my body changed. Now 6 months postpartum and I feel stronger than before I was pregnant.
I'm a runner and was skeptical about Pilates but my PT recommended it for hip issues. Lauren designed a program specifically for runners and the difference in my stride and recovery has been noticeable. She's also super patient with beginners — I had zero reformer experience and never felt out of place.
Lauren completely changed how I think about my body. I came in with lower back pain from sitting at a desk all day, and after 3 months of weekly reformer sessions, I'm basically pain-free. She explains the why behind every movement which makes you actually understand what you're doing instead of just going through the motions.
